Alcohol Forum of Ireland has put together a talk on addressing Malnutrition in Alcohol Use Disorders – with a special focus on Thiamine Deficiency and Wernickes-Korsakoffs Syndrome’.
Malnutrition is a common but often under-recognized feature of AUD and is an important contributory cause of Alcohol-Related Brain Injury - a preventable but serious neuropsychiatric condition that can have an enduring and disabling impact on people affected.
This webinar will be of interest to anyone working in the addiction, acute, homelessness, nutrition or residential sector. We will be launching a new resource “Thiamine, Healthy Eating and Me – Reduce Your Risk of Developing Alcohol-Related Brain Injury”. We would love if you could join us on the day and please feel free to circulate to colleagues.
